What are the special processes of DIY metal laser cutters? With the advancement of technology, more and more companies have begun to choose steel laser cutting machines to replace traditional cutting machines. Because compared with traditional cutting equipment, laser cutting machines steel has greatly improved both in accuracy, efficiency, and equipment functions. Therefore, it is necessary to have a certain understanding of its unique process before using the laser cutting machine metal sheet to improve our production efficiency and product process quality. Let’s take a look at the traditional cutting of the fiber metal cutting machine. Crafts that machines can't do!
1. Leapfrogging
According to the official definition, the leapfrog is the idle way of the laser iron cutting machine sheet. Idle travel: the CNC laser cutting machine 1000w moves without cutting. For example, the machine cuts hole 1, and then cuts hole 2. The cutting head must move from point A to point B. Of course, it must be closed during the move. The movement process from point A to point B, the machine runs "empty", which is called idling. However, if a parabolic motion is used between points AB, instead of cutting at point A and then closing the cutting head to point B to cut, this can reduce the time for the cutting head to lift, greatly reduce the user's cutting cost, and improve the user's cutting efficiency. This new process is called "leapfrogging". The most notable feature of the leapfrog is higher accuracy and faster speed. The laser cutting machine with a leapfrog function is actually a technology that changes the Z-axis empty path.
2. automatic focusing
When cutting different materials, the focus of the laser beam is required to fall on different positions of the cross-section of the workpiece, as shown in the figure below, so it is necessary to constantly adjust the focus position. Some people think that as long as the height of the cutting head is changed, the cutting head rises, the focus position rises, and the cutting head lowers, the focus position decreases. In fact, it is not that simple. As we all know, the bottom of the cutting head is the nozzle. During the cutting process, the distance between the nozzle and the workpiece (nozzle height) is about 0.5~1.5mm, which is a fixed value, that is, the nozzle height does not change, so you cannot adjust the focus by lifting the cutting head. , Otherwise, the cutting process cannot be completed. The focal length of the focusing lens cannot be changed, so the focus cannot be adjusted by changing the focal length. Changing the position of the focusing lens can change the focus position: when the focusing lens drops, the focus drops; when the focusing lens rises, the focus rises. This is also a common automatic focusing method, which drives the focusing lens to move up and down through a motor. Another automatic focusing method is to configure a variable curvature mirror before the beam enters the focusing mirror, and change the divergence angle of the reflected beam by changing the curvature of the mirror, thereby changing the focus position.
3. automatic edge finding
If the sheet material is skewed, it may cause waste during cutting. If the 3000 watt fiber laser cutter can sense the angle and origin of the sheet material inclination and adjust the cutting process to suit the angle and position of the sheet material, waste can be avoided. After the automatic edge finding function is activated, the cutting head starts from point P and automatically measures 3 points on the two vertical edges of the sheet: P1, P2, P3, and automatically calculates the inclination angle A of the sheet and The origin, with the help of the automatic edge finding function, can effectively save the time of workpiece adjustment, reduce the intensity of human work, and thus improve the cutting efficiency.
4. Common edge cutting
If the contours of adjacent parts are straight and the angles are the same, they can be combined into a straight line and cut only once, that is edge cutting. Obviously, edge cutting reduces the cutting length and can significantly improve processing efficiency. Co-edge cutting does not require the shape of the part to be rectangular. Co-edge cutting not only saves cutting time but also reduces the number of perforations, so the benefits are very obvious. If you save 1.5 hours per day due to common edge cutting, you save about 500 hours per year, and the hourly comprehensive cost is calculated at 100 yuan, which is equivalent to creating an additional 50,000 yuan benefit a year.
The above is the unique process of laser cutting machine for metal compared with a traditional cutting machine. Overall, it seems that progress is still very large! This is one of the reasons why some companies cannot afford the equipment and have to purchase it in installments.
